Aadhar has been conducting successfully the following activities in the country;
i. Looking after the grievances of older persons across the country
ii. Nation wide District-level Voluntary Action Network
Looking after the Grievances of Older Persons
During the month of May2008 over 44000 Representations received by Zila Aadhar Members/Associates from older persons for the following Problems

Social problems, loneliness, relationship with family members and relatives etc.

Legal / Medical / Financial problems

Pension/Fund/Old Age Pension / Insurance problems
-
Residential/old age homes/ rehabilitation
-
Suggestions/ information/ etc.
During the month Zila Aadhar Members/Associates also formed 118 Self-help groups of older persons involving over 2548 older persons as members
Nation wide District-level Voluntary Action Network
As on 30th May 2008, 6335 Zila Aadhar Members/Associates spread across 540 districts of the country were successfully working voluntarily for the welfare of older persons locally.
